About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a skilled UI Developer / Full Stack Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The role involves joining an engineering team focused on front-end development, vulnerability remediation, package upgrades, and resolving security-related issues. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with React, Node.js, and SQL/SQL Server to support various engineering and backlog initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with React and front-end development.
  • Hands-on experience with Node.js / Full Stack Development.
  • Strong SQL / SQL Server experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and remediating software vulnerabilities and security issues.
  • Experience upgrading application packages, libraries, and dependencies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and release management processes.
  • Experience with XL Release (XLR).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Comfortable working with frequently changing priorities.
  • Able to independently manage assigned engineering and remediation tasks.
  • Willingness to support a broad range of development and backlog activities.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ansible and Jenkins.
  • Prior experience working with Hadoop environments.
  • Experience with enterprise application security remediation.
  • Familiarity with automated build, deployment, and release pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive, scalable user interfaces using React and modern front-end technologies.
  • Build and support full-stack applications using Node.js and related frameworks.
  • Analyze, remediate, and resolve application and package vulnerabilities and security issues.
  • Upgrade application dependencies and packages to address security findings and maintain supported versions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to identify root causes and implement effective remediation solutions.
  • Perform assembly and engineering work across applications, including development, troubleshooting, integration, and maintenance.
  • Work with SQL/SQL Server for data queries, validation, troubleshooting, and application integration.
  • Support backlog items and development initiatives based on shifting business and technical priorities.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
  • Work with XL Release (XLR) and enterprise CI/CD processes to support application releases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development, security, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with distributed engineering teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
