About The Position

GliaCell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join one of their subcontracts. This is a full-time position supporting a U.S. Government customer with the mission of providing technical expertise to sustain critical mission-related software and systems on a large government contract. The role involves full-stack development of cloud-based applications and microservices, utilizing technologies such as Java Spring Boot, AWS native services, Python, and CI/CD principles. The position emphasizes Agile development, communication, and collaboration within a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within the last 7 years).
9 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, or 7 years of relevant experience with a master's degree.
U.S. Citizenship.
Works well independently as well as on a team.
Strong communication skills.
Java 17+, JavaScript frameworks (React), Gitlab, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and modern datastores (NoSQL, Relational, Object)
Need to have experience with full stack development, microservices, API design, model UI, and Git

Nice To Haves

Spring, Kubernetes, docker, Terraform, Swagger and AWS managed services.
System Requirements decomposition, release planning, CI/CD, Test frameworks and automation, and Agile Methodology.
Familiar with FOSS & GOTS

Responsibilities

Responsible for the full stack development of Cloud based applications and microservices.
Writing Java Spring Boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
Agile development and delivery of software
Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
