About The Position

The Senior Full Stack Engineer will deliver scalable, high-performance, and reliable software in an agile environment. The role involves designing and building distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications, and integrating applications with machine learning models. The engineer will work with technologies including Java and Spring Boot, TypeScript and React, SQL, and related frameworks. Databricks, Spark, or PySpark experience is highly desirable for data pipelines and analytics-driven applications.

The role also involves building or supporting cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure, with familiarity in CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, observability, automated testing, and production support. The engineer is expected to lead team-level design discussions, evaluate technical tradeoffs, guide implementation through technical influence, and translate product and business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. The position is hybrid, with three days per week working from the client location in Arlington, Virginia. The stated duration is six months.

Requirements

• 8 years of software engineering experience delivering scalable, high-performance, reliable software in an agile environment; the posting also states a minimum experience range of 8–10 years.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and building distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications.
• Strong programming experience with Java/Spring Boot, TypeScript/React, SQL, and related frameworks and technologies.
• Experience building or supporting cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Azure.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization, Kubernetes, observability, automated testing, and production support practices.
• Ability to lead team-level design discussions, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and guide implementation through technical influence.
• Ability to translate product and business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work through ambiguity and make sound technical decisions, and ability to drive results through hands-on execution.
• Experience integrating applications with machine learning models.
• Java, Spring Boot, microservices, strong coding and problem-solving skills are listed as must-have skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Databricks, Spark, or PySpark, particularly for data pipelines and analytics-driven applications.
