Senior Full Stack Developer
About The Position

We’re actively seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Journey team in Newport Beach, CA. This role is open to hybrid or full remote. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll play a key role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by building and delivering cutting-edge web solutions to enhance Customer Journey. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 5 people in the CMD division. Your colleagues will include Senior System Analysts & Engineer fellow professionals that believes in open communication, collaboration & teamwork, continuous learning, innovation and at the same time having fun by virtue or recognitions and celebrations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ Years of software development experiences with minimum 2 years of experience as Full Stack Engineer.
- Proven expertise in building and maintaining web applications using modern frameworks and libraries (Angular/React/TypeScript).
- Strong proficiency in server-side languages (Java, Node.js)
- Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services and serverless computing
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful/GraphQL API design.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
- Proficiency with DevSecOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Experience with Work Management platforms Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Works independently with minimal guidance
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge on Gen AI RAG, MCP patterns is a plus.
- AWS Certifications (AWS Certified Developer)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools
- Experience with an Integration Platform like MuleSoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of best practices in cybersecurity and data protection.
Responsibilities
- Design, Develop & Deliver end to end solutions to meet business needs and build as per enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Own end-to-end feature development, from concept to deployment.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system stability concerns.
- Design, Develop & Maintain end to end CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
