About The Position

Join CMiT and help modernize mission-critical technology. Build Cloud-Native, AI-Enabled Solutions for Federal Missions. We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who wants to do more than write code. In this role, you’ll help design, build, and scale secure cloud-native applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, AWS, modern DevOps practices, and emerging agentic AI tools. You’ll work with collaborative teams, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver software that supports high-impact federal missions. This is a great fit for you if you like: building scalable applications, working across the full stack, experimenting with AI-assisted development, owning technical solutions, and seeing your work make a measurable impact.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and/or Python.
  • Hands-on AWS development experience, including cloud-native or serverless application design.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, relational database design, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, Agile delivery, and secure development practices.
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments in ECS, EKS, or similar environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS CLI, SAM CLI, and modern developer workflows.
  • Interest in using agentic AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering speed, quality, and creativity.
  • Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust and TSA clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS certification such as Solutions Architect, Developer, Security, or similar.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, Amazon Bedrock Agents, LangChain, RAG, agent orchestration, tool use, MCP, or related AI frameworks.
  • Experience with serverless architectures, event-driven systems, monitoring, observability, or production support.
  • Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, AWS Security, or related credentials.
  • Open-source contributions, personal GitHub projects, or demonstrated hands-on experimentation with agentic IDEs and AI development tools.
  • Oracle experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build modern web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and scalable full-stack engineering patterns.
  • Design and implement secure AWS cloud solutions using services such as Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, S3, Aurora PostgreSQL, Bedrock, EC2, ECS, or EKS.
  • Create APIs, microservices, integrations, and event-driven workflows that improve mission delivery and user experience.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or similar tools.
  • Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes using GitLab CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
  • Use AI-powered development tools such as Kiro, Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms to accelerate coding, testing, refactoring, and specification-driven development.
  • Collaborate with customers, product owners, designers, engineers, and mission stakeholders to turn requirements into reliable technical solutions.
  • Improve application performance, security, scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and contribute to technical documentation, planning, and release readiness.

Benefits

  • Build secure, cloud-native applications
  • Explore the next generation of AI-assisted software development
  • Make an impact on important federal missions
