About The Position

LMI is seeking a talented, mission-driven Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize secure, scalable, cloud-native software applications and platforms supporting critical federal missions. The role contributes to transforming how government organizations build, deploy, integrate, and manage digital capabilities through intuitive applications, robust backend services, and reliable platform integrations. In this hands-on engineering role, you will design, develop, integrate, and maintain full-stack software solutions using TypeScript, Angular, Node.js or Python, PostgreSQL, and API-driven architectures. You will own complex features and production applications, make architectural decisions, and build secure, maintainable solutions for cloud and on-premises environments. You will work with product teams, platform engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and government stakeholders to deliver capabilities that improve operational efficiency, accelerate software delivery, and support mission-critical operations. LMI is a digital solutions provider focused on accelerating government impact through innovation and speed. It invests in technology and prototypes ahead of need and provides commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies. LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors and is headquartered in Tysons, Virginia. The position is remote. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must have or be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. The target salary range is $140,000–$250,000; actual compensation depends on factors including location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications.

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, and automated deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and compliance requirements, including NIST security controls and FISMA.
  • A strong software engineering portfolio, open-source contributions, or demonstrated experience building software products independently.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, scalable full-stack web applications for enterprise platforms and mission-critical federal operations.
