About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a senior full stack developer to build software and systems from initial vision through production readiness in a fast, agile environment. The role involves leading a team as they learn tools and techniques, identifying system improvements, and helping clients address difficult challenges using current architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. The developer ensures solutions account for the existing architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. The position is located in Fort Meade, Maryland, and is not remote.

Requirements

• Experience developing software using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Experience creating easy-to-understand data visualizations, including cascading, time-shifting, dynamic, and drill-down options.
• Experience in data modeling, including data normalization and working with metrics.
• Experience exploring out-of-the-box visualization techniques and applying them to networks.
• Experience creating static presentations and static web pages.
• Experience developing and maintaining web-based server applications and implementing algorithms that interface with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience leading small cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of agile team development.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science field and 14 or more years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment, or 18 or more years of software engineering experience in a Linux environment in lieu of a degree.
