The Senior Full-Stack Application Developer (Kotlin-Java/React) reports to the Director, Product Development and will be working with a team of 13 members that include developers, QA, business analyst, PO and functional developer. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing various features and components of a web-based product application built in Kotlin. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a creative technical team focused on best practices, innovation, and collaboration, while working in an agile and constantly evolving environment. The candidate will be working on Equisoft/Carbon, a cloud-native Policy Administration System (PAS) built for insurance carriers. The platform supports the full policy lifecycle, from underwriting and issuance to billing, claims, and commissions, across life, whole life, and annuity products for carriers around the world. Carbon is a product in active growth, with new insurance lines and AI-powered capabilities on the near-term roadmap. Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or information technology or Equivalent College Degree
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with programming language like Kotlin, Java or .Net
  • Excellent knowledge with SQL
  • Excellent knowledge of microservice architecture
  • Good Knowledge and experience with with React or Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Knowledge of GraphQL and REST APIs
  • Good knowledge of SOLID principles and OOP
  • Knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies
  • Knowledge in DevOps Azure Pipeline
  • Knowledge of security challenges with web-based applications
  • Experience in solving complex software engineering problems
  • Strong sense of organization and prioritizing
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information
  • Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment
  • Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline
