About The Position

As part of Cisco Secure Workload, our team develops enterprise security applications that help organizations secure modern cloud and distributed environments. We build intuitive user experiences that simplify policy management, vulnerability visibility, reporting, and security workflows, enabling customers to confidently manage and protect their infrastructure at scale. As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will build intuitive, scalable, and high-performing user interfaces for Cisco Secure Workload. You’ll develop enterprise-grade frontend experiences that simplify complex security workflows, including policy management, vulnerability visibility, reporting, and operational workflows. Working closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and quality engineers, you’ll help deliver modern, reliable applications that enable organizations to secure cloud-native environments while contributing to the evolution of a scalable frontend architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of related experience, or PhD with 1+ years of related experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise-scale frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Next.js, or similar technologies.
  • Experience developing enterprise frontend software applications within cloud-native infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, or similar technology domains.
  • Experience partnering with product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver frontend features throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience writing automated tests, including unit testing and end-to-end (E2E) testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collaborating with REST APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
  • Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software defects in production environments.
  • Experience with backend technologies such as Go, Node.js, or Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain modern frontend applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar technologies.
  • Build intuitive dashboards, reporting experiences, and workflow-driven interfaces for enterprise security applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, QA engineers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features from technical design through production.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to scalable, maintainable frontend architecture.
  • Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit and end-to-end (E2E) test coverage.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects while continuously improving application quality and user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive technical feedback, and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Estimate work, communicate progress, identify risks early, and contribute effectively within an Agile development environment.
