About The Position

Postman is seeking an ambitious frontend engineer to take ownership of significant portions of the user experience for an "0-1" initiative. This role is crucial for the development of Postman Insights, a product designed to guide developers, even those with limited experience in the system being monitored or the Postman API Platform, to efficiently find and fix issues. The ultimate goal is to enable any developer to identify problematic API endpoints within 15 minutes of signing up. This will empower new developers to resolve issues as easily as they can call an API today. As Postman prepares for the open beta launch of Postman Insights, this frontend software engineer will be instrumental in bringing the product to life. Having already launched an alpha with valuable user feedback, the focus will be on iterating with users to perfect the user experience. The engineer will concentrate on the frontend, with a passion for designing and refining the user interface on a weekly basis to ensure the product is ready for a wider audience and to establish it as the best in its class before the beta launch.

Requirements

6+ years of frontend development experience.
Track record of delivery. Impressive portfolio of past projects launched.
Experience working independently. 2+ substantial past projects where they were the sole contributor responsible for delivering large parts of the work.
Proven experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, TypeScript).
Based in the US. Substantial overlap with the Pacific Time Zone.

Responsibilities

Develop new capabilities for the Postman Insights product, focusing on frontend development to enhance user experience and making end-user impacting improvements to the UX.
Quickly prototype, experiment, and iterate on core product features, specifically within the user interface, to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineers to spec, build, test, and deliver new features efficiently.
Contribute to frontend architectural and design decisions alongside the team, ensuring scalability and performance for the Postman Insights product.
