This is a full-time administrative position in an outpatient OBGYN setting. The Senior Registration Associate is responsible for performing and overall coordination of clerical duties related to the efficient and service-oriented operation of a medical practice. The Senior Registration Associate will perform all job functions in a courteous and professional manner consistent with the mission and core values of St Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates. This role involves performing and coordinating front-end functions to ensure achievement of established revenue cycle metrics, consistent with excellence standards and practice workflows, including scheduling, registration, check-in, check-out, charge entry/claims, and end-of-day processes. General duties include document processing, scanning, and inbox monitoring. The position requires strong leadership qualities, managing daily staffing needs, serving as a mentor, scheduling patient appointments, handling incoming calls, registering patients, collecting co-pays, documenting monies collected, acting as a liaison between patients and clinical staff, scheduling follow-up appointments, obtaining pre-authorizations and referrals, and accurately passing charges. Information processing includes understanding and performing parsing processes to electronically file information into the Electronic Medical Record, maintaining patient confidentiality, and adhering to HIPAA regulations. The role also involves working cooperatively with team members, communicating respectfully, and cross-covering other areas as needed.
