Senior FP&A & Salesforce Growth Analyst

Aleut FederalReston, VA
$125,000 - $135,000Hybrid

About The Position

This is a high-impact, dual-function role for an analyst who thrives at the intersection of financial planning and growth intelligence. As our Senior FP&A & Salesforce Growth Analyst, you’ll be a critical voice in shaping how the organization understands its financial health, pipeline performance, and strategic trajectory. You won’t just report the numbers — you’ll tell the story behind them, and you’ll build the tooling that produces them. You’ll partner with finance, business development, operations, and program leadership to surface insights that drive better decisions, faster — and you’ll stand up the systems, automations, and AI-enabled workflows that make those insights repeatable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Analytics, or a related field
  • 3+ years in FP&A, financial analysis, business analytics, or a closely related role
  • Hands-on experience building and configuring Salesforce — objects, fields, flows, validation rules, permission sets, report types, and dashboards — in addition to reporting and data management
  • Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and scenario analysis
  • AI tool experience as a builder, not just a user — demonstrated ability to create reusable AI assets such as Claude Skills/Projects, OpenAI Custom GPTs or Assistants, structured prompts, and automation workflows, and to apply them to real analytical or reporting problems (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent)
  • Ability to work independently, juggle competing priorities, and deliver under pressure
  • Strong communicator who can translate complex analysis into clear narratives for senior audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Background in government contracting, professional services, or project-based environments
  • Familiarity with indirect rate structures, cost accounting, and program financials
  • Experience integrating Salesforce and Costpoint data with financial planning or BI tools
  • Salesforce Administrator certification (or equivalent demonstrated configuration depth)
  • Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) connectors, retrieval-augmented workflows, or API-level tool use
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or comparable data visualization platforms

Responsibilities

  • Drive the financial heartbeat of the organization through rigorous analysis and forward-looking insight:
  • Assist the Director of Finance in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across programs, projects, and business units
  • Uncover the drivers behind revenue, cost, margin, and EBITDA performance — and turn findings into actionable recommendations
  • Build and continuously improve financial models that support scenario planning and strategic decision-making
  • Deliver clear, compelling financial analyses to finance leadership and senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with program and operations teams to sharpen forecasting accuracy and strengthen cost discipline
  • Support indirect rate analysis, cost structure evaluation, and financial compliance
  • Build, configure, and maintain reporting and data structures in Deltek Costpoint —report writing (Cognos/BIRT), Costpoint Business Intelligence/Analytics, and reconciling Costpoint actuals against plan
  • Maintain data integrity and consistency across all financial reporting and planning tools
  • Own the analytical engine that powers our growth strategy:
  • Build and configure Salesforce as a power user/admin — custom objects and fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, permission sets, report types, and Flow Builder automation — not just consume what already exists
  • Own and evolve Salesforce dashboards and reporting covering pipeline, bookings, backlog, and growth performance
  • Analyze win/loss trends, pipeline health, and conversion metrics to surface what’s working and what needs attention
  • Partner with business development, operations, and finance to ensure Salesforce data is accurate, consistent, and decision-ready
  • Develop standardized executive-level metrics and reporting that connects pipeline activity to financial outcomes
  • Design and ship AI-enabled tooling that accelerates analysis and reporting — e.g., authoring reusable Claude Skills and Projects, building Custom GPTs / OpenAI Assistants, wiring up automations (n8n, Power Automate, or similar), and applying LLMs to summarize pipeline signals, draft narratives, and reduce manual reporting cycles
  • Identify and implement automation and process improvements within Salesforce and Costpoint data flows, including the integration points between them
  • Serve as the analytical bridge between finance and growth — translating pipeline signals into financial implications leadership can act on
