Senior FP&A Manager

Assort HealthSan Francisco, CA
$180,000 - $210,000

About The Position

This is not a traditional FP&A role. You will be the financial and strategic backbone of the company — owning our financial model, driving how we think about growth and capital allocation, and serving as a trusted thought partner to the Head of Finance and leadership team. You will build the infrastructure that helps us make better decisions faster, and you will own the narratives that shape how investors, partners, and the board understand our business. You will operate at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations. This is a high-ownership role with a direct line to executive leadership and significant room to grow as the company scales.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in progressive positions within FP&A, investment banking, or consulting, with 3+ years in operating finance at a high-growth, tech company.
  • Managed financial analysts before.
  • Strong grasp of SaaS metrics — CAC/LTV, magic number, net retention, unit economics, rule of 40.
  • Experience with both GAAP and non-GAAP reporting.
  • Experience building complex, driver-based financial models from scratch and defending assumptions in front of investors and executives.
  • Proficiency in Excel and BI tools for building dashboards.
  • Extreme attention to detail and precision in numbers, models, and decks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including clear writing and confident presentation to the board and executive team.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL and low/no-code dashboarding tools (Omni, Equals, etc.)

  • Run monthly, quarterly, and annual planning across revenue, OpEx, headcount, and cash.
  • Serve as the senior finance partner to functional leaders across GTM, R&D, and G&A.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing evolution of our planning platform (Pigment, Anaplan, or similar).
  • Produce the board deck, monthly operating reviews, and investor reporting.
  • Drive initiatives to improve gross margin, optimize COGS, and increase operational leverage.
  • Partner with Sales and RevOps to establish pricing guardrails, assess deal economics, and ensure pricing strategy supports long-term value.
  • Build sophisticated models to evaluate unit economics, ROI of various investments, and capital efficiency.
