About The Position

Praxent is an Anthropic partner, and the opportunity in front of us is unlike anything before. Every financial institution is asking the same question at once: how do we put agentic AI to work inside walls this critical? Very few teams have both the frontier-model access to build the answer and the regulatory depth to get it approved. We have both. That depth is 26 years in the making. Praxent builds the software that banks, credit unions, lenders, insurers, and wealth platforms actually run, inside the hardest environments in enterprise software. Most firms treat those constraints as obstacles. We've built our craft around them. These roles have been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in the following locations: Texas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, South Carolina, Washington. Requirements

6+ years shipping production software, including hands-on delivery of LLM and agentic systems (RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, evaluation and monitoring) into real environments.
Client leadership experience. You’ve led discovery meetings, have made difficult scoping decisions, and can convey an executive presence that inspires confidence in your solutions.
Hands-on experience shipping production software, full-stack. Most of this work is Python; .NET or Node are fine substitutes, with React or Next.js on the front end.
Depth across the stack and a major cloud, with the judgment to make sound architecture calls under real constraints.
Experience integrating AI with legacy and governed systems, and a feel for where those integrations tend to break.
The ability to lead a small engineering team and to communicate decisions clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience in banking, lending, or payments is strongly preferred, including working directly with risk and compliance partners and getting AI through model-risk or security review in a regulated organization.

Responsibilities

The technical execution of the engagement. The system gets built, integrated, and shipped to the client's production environment on time and at quality, and you are accountable for how that happens.
The executive conversation. You are a trusted voice with client engineers and a credible one with client executives — translating a VP's problem into an architecture, and that architecture back into language the VP can defend to their board.
The architecture decisions within the engagement. You choose the patterns, integrations, and tradeoffs that fit the client's constraints, and you can defend them to their engineers.
A team that builds well. You guide the Forward Deployed Engineers on the engagement, review their work, and raise their bar without taking the keyboard away from them.
A system the client can own. Production-grade evals, guardrails, observability, and documentation that survive both the handoff and an audit.
