About The Position

FCC Environmental Services is seeking an experienced Senior Fleet Technician - 2nd Shift to join our maintenance team in Leesburg, FL. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Company, DOT, and OSHA standards. The successful candidate will perform advanced diagnostic, repair, and preventative maintenance work on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. Candidates must have strong troubleshooting abilities and experience with hydraulic, electrical, and A/C systems. This is a Second Shift position. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of fleet maintenance experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing: Heavy-duty truck A/C systems, Hydraulic systems, Electrical systems
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and repair documentation.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Senior-level fleet maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Experience using computerized diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Previous experience working on refuse collection vehicles or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor and major repairs on trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance services, including inspections, tire rotations, fluid checks, and oil changes.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and A/C system issues.
  • Utilize diagnostic software and troubleshooting tools to identify equipment failures.
  • Perform DOT inspections and ensure vehicles remain compliant with federal and state regulations.
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, hoses, cylinders, and associated components.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, starters, alternators, batteries, and electronic control systems.
  • Complete brake inspections and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with parts and supply management.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing repair data and trends.
  • Support operational goals by working collaboratively with fleet management and operations teams.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all Company, DOT, OSHA, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required daily reporting and documentation.
