About The Position

As a Senior Maintenance Technician with Avient, you are responsible for completing maintenance assignments to build, repair and/or maintain all equipment in good operating condition as quickly and accurately as possible; while keeping associated costs to a minimum to help meet Plant goals. To be successful in this role you should be multi-skilled and able to contribute to plant maintenance activities in a variety of craft disciplines. Requirements

  • High School diploma, General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Technical School degree or equivalent experience
  • Work experience in an industrial operations environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals
  • Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must have the ability to use conversions, work with different units such as weight, volume, density, distance, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Completes projects independently with a proactive approach to design, installation, and improvement.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems, including component-level work.
  • Installs, upgrades, and maintains electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Operates shop equipment and tools to modify and repair parts.
  • Drives equipment reliability through preventative maintenance.
  • Operates utility systems in compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Manages parts sourcing, inventory, and work order documentation.
  • Maintains accurate maintenance records and follows safety, ISO, and environmental standards.
  • Supports departmental operations, including supervisory backup and additional duties as needed.
