Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years in fleet management, logistics, or operations, with proven expertise in vehicle lifecycle management and a strong working knowledge of various makes and models, their maintenance requirements, and associated cost structures.
  • Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and pass an MVR check.
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and a strong focus on accuracy and details.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle leasing, acquisition, and remarketing strategies.
  • Protech uses E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize all processes and aspects of the fleet vehicle lifecycle for assigned Caliber business line (Protech, Auto Glass, Collision, and Corporate fleet)
  • Manage day-to-day internal fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are compliant, keeping accurate inventory of company assets, and proper utilization across all markets.
  • Evaluate and analyze lease terms, mileage data, and lifecycle costs to determine the optimal timing for vehicle disposal and acquisition.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations that balance operational needs, cost efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the fleet.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely repairs through coordination with vendors, dealerships, and internal partners while negotiating parts/labor rates to ensure the highest quality repair, while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate fleet data and generate performance reports to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and risk areas.
  • Support strategic planning related to fleet expansion, replacement cycles, and standardization initiatives along with safety programs.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast fleet needs and assist in budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex or high-impact fleet issues across the company related to Internal Fleet.
