Senior Fixed Income Business Analyst – Trade Processing & Settlements
About The Position
Join a global financial services organization supporting a sophisticated fixed income technology environment within investment banking and securities operations. This role is part of a team focused on systems and processes supporting fixed income trading, financing, settlement, and post-trade operations. It requires collaboration between technology and business stakeholders, with an emphasis on reliable trade processing, accurate settlement, and effective problem resolution across complex capital markets workflows. The analyst will support mission-critical fixed income platforms and work with capital markets stakeholders across front-to-back trade workflows, including trading, financing, operations, settlement, accounting, and P&L processes. The engagement is W2 only, with no C2C or 1099, and follows a hybrid work model supporting a New York-based team.
Requirements
- 8–13 years of relevant experience within fixed income, capital markets technology, business analysis, or closely related financial services environments.
- Strong knowledge of fixed income products, particularly government and corporate bonds.
- Hands-on experience supporting Broadridge Impact or another fixed income back-office platform.
- Thorough understanding of the front-to-back fixed income trade lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of government and corporate bond settlement workflows.
- Practical understanding of repo transactions and fixed income financing, including tri-party and securities borrowing and lending.
- Strong understanding of trade processing, clearing, and settlement.
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts and P&L as they relate to fixed income activity.
- Hands-on SQL capability for data investigation, reconciliation, or business analysis.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and structured production/support environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technology requirements for fixed income trading and post-trade platforms.
- Support the complete fixed income trade lifecycle, from execution through clearing, settlement, accounting, and downstream processing.
- Partner with business users and technology teams to identify workflow issues, define requirements, and develop practical solutions.
- Support government and corporate bond settlement processes and related operational workflows.
- Analyze repo, tri-party, securities borrowing and lending, and other fixed income financing transactions.
- Work with fixed income back-office platforms, including Broadridge Impact or comparable systems.
- Use SQL to investigate data, validate processing results, and support issue analysis.
- Apply structured IT service management practices when managing production issues, enhancements, and operational requirements.
