Senior Fire Protection Engineer

Cynet Systems•Chandler, AZ

About The Position

The candidate will serve as a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, planning, scheduling, and coordinating detailed phases of mechanical engineering work for specialized facility projects. This role involves performing work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. The engineer will also use Standard Application Programs (BSAPs), plan and coordinate equipment or work specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and award recommendations. They will coordinate engineering efforts between specialty and other engineering groups, with clients, suppliers, and contractors, and may assume a lead technical role over other engineers or project subgroups. Communication of complex technical issues and recommendations to supervisors and project management is key. The role also supports functional initiatives like developing Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design guides, appropriate Standard Computer Applications (BSAPs), and administrative practices. Additionally, the Senior Fire Protection Engineer will mentor designers and drafters and support the creation of a positive work environment.
