About The Position

As a Senior Financial Services Representative, you will leverage your communication skills as you effectively manage complex situations, problem solve and provide personalized advice. Member's complex inquiries will be satisfied in a timely manner and within established service standards. Financial Services Representatives will grow through your transfer of knowledge and expertise to assure member’s needs are met, thus helping Vancity redefine wealth consistent with branch objectives. You will also bring a strong knowledge of Vancity's policies, procedures, systems and software. This is a Full-time, Temporary role located at Lonsdale Community Branch (Branch 72) and reports directly to the Assistant Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma – At a minimum, you have graduated high school and/or equivalent
  • Customer Service Experience – At least 1 year of working experience interacting with people and businesses in a professional capacity
  • A problem solver – You have an analytical mind and can multi-task to come up with solutions.
  • Tech-savvy – People often say you’re a quick learner and great with technology & systems and can provide technical guidance to others.
  • A great communicator – You find it easy to get to know others and have great conversations.
  • Ready for a challenge – You have a positive attitude and can work in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • A natural leader – People often come and seek best advice from you and you enjoy giving feedback to others.
  • Knowledgeable – you have advanced knowledge of the relevant Vancity policies, procedures, products and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Cross training or past work experience in a leadership capacity
  • Call center and branch experience
  • Post Secondary Education/Diploma (Related Discipline)

Responsibilities

  • Perform member transactions consistent with established standards so that a high level of quality service delivery is achieved
  • Identify and assess member/prospect needs to provide appropriate products, services and referrals
  • Provide ongoing technical support to the service team (new and tenured) so that member experience standards are achieved
  • Apply branch service standards and support adherence to policies and procedures
  • Apply and support adherence to controls to meet compliance and security requirements and mitigate risk
