About The Position

Career Staffing Talent (CST) has been retained to lead a confidential search for a Senior Financial Controller on behalf of a high-growth healthcare organization based in Davie, Florida. The organization distributes healthcare products directly to patients nationally. This is a hands-on accounting leadership role focused on building out the NetSuite platform, establishing AP and AR processes from a manual state, and ensuring inventory accuracy across three affiliated entities with complex intercompany and balance-sheet accounting. Due to the CFO's fractional capacity, this role offers significant visibility and autonomy, serving as a potential pathway to a CFO position for the right candidate.

Requirements

10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, including controller-level ownership.
Proven track record personally implementing or migrating an ERP; NetSuite strongly preferred.
Strong technical accounting skills: US GAAP, monthly and annual close, financial statement preparation, hands-on audit liaison.
Demonstrated experience fixing AP/AR processes and building controls from scratch, ideally in a business with physical inventory or warehouse operations.
Multi-entity and intercompany accounting experience.
Comfort with balance-sheet-heavy environments and PO/inventory-heavy systems.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial requirements to non-financial staff.
Ability to operate with limited oversight and drive initiatives to completion without direction.
Interest in progressing toward a CFO role.

Nice To Haves

CPA strongly preferred.
Distribution, wholesale, or other inventory-intensive industry experience is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple affiliated entities.
Prepare US GAAP financial statements and present results with variance commentary to the CFO.
Lead the NetSuite build-out and configuration, maintaining the chart of accounts and GL structure.
Resolve the current AP backlog and error exposure, establishing a standardized, automated workflow with real controls.
Implement automated invoicing, collections, and dispute resolution processes to replace ad hoc methods.
Understand the product flow from receiving through fulfillment and partner with warehouse, purchasing, and operations for inventory accuracy.
Own inventory accuracy, adjustments, write-offs, and shrinkage as a core deliverable.
Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and CPA firms, maintaining audit readiness.
Design controls across ordering, receiving, and inventory processes.
Handle Florida state and sales tax nexus considerations.
Directly manage five finance professionals, setting expectations, reviewing work, and building team capability.
Drive a culture of documentation, accountability, and urgency within the finance team.
Own key vendor and client relationships related to payment timing and dispute resolution.
Support the CFO on diligence and banking relationships.
