About The Position

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join Mission Operations Finance and partner with operational leaders, connecting business activity with financial plans and decisions. The role owns recurring planning, forecasting, and analysis across a complex services organization. The analyst will develop a detailed understanding of business operations, assess staffing and resource needs, and help leaders understand spending, utilization, and the financial implications of their decisions. The position is suited to someone with strong financial modeling skills, curiosity about operational work, and initiative to take analyses through to recommendations. The analyst should be comfortable asking thoughtful questions, contributing an informed perspective, and partnering with operational leaders in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and decisions may involve incomplete information.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, operational finance, or a related analytical role, with demonstrated ownership of operating forecasts and business analysis.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modeling ability, including building driver-based forecasts, scenario analyses, and models that others can understand and maintain.

  • Experience owning budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting processes.
  • Ability to build credibility with operational leaders, present financial results and recommendations to senior stakeholders, and communicate assumptions and tradeoffs clearly.
  • Curiosity and initiative to learn how the business works, investigate underlying drivers, and turn analysis into practical recommendations.
  • Ability to prioritize competing requests, work through incomplete data, and follow through on commitments in a rapidly changing environment.
  • High standards for accuracy and accountability, with judgment to validate assumptions, acknowledge uncertainty, and seek input when needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in services, field operations, logistics, maintenance, manufacturing, or another business with significant workforce and asset requirements.
  • Experience with workforce planning, demand/capacity analysis, S&OP, or operational performance measures such as utilization and overtime.

  • Experience using ERP, financial planning, or reporting tools, and familiarity with SQL or business intelligence tools.
  • Experience improving recurring processes, documenting workflows, or mentoring colleagues.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve financial analysis, reporting, or workflows, with sound judgment in validating outputs and handling sensitive information.
