About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the FOX Entertainment network business, including working closely with the Studio, Distribution and Corporate Finance teams. We are looking for a motivated and career-oriented candidate with a proactive approach and strong analytical and Excel skills. The Senior Financial Analyst will work on monthly close, budgets and forecasts, key financial reporting, ad hoc analysis, and tracking of various payments and receipts.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the department
  • Ability to listen and communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High proficiency in using computer systems particularly Advanced Excel, Microsoft Word, Database Management skills, and ERPs e.g. Workday
  • Independent judgment and be able to work on multiple assignments at once
  • Operate successfully in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end close activities to ensure timely delivery of financial results
  • Prepare month-end reporting, including running system-generated reports and analyzing variance detail to be able to explain actuals vs budget and vs forecast variances
  • Maintain supplemental schedules and support files
  • Understand monthly trial balance activity and perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Collaborate with operational leads on various activities such as timely invoice submissions, coding accuracy, month-end accruals, and forecast/budget deliverables
  • Set up expense authorization codes in Workday and monitor related project spend
  • Prepare and process ad-hoc invoices and payments as needed
  • Support external audit, tax, and compliance requests by gathering quarterly and annual documentation
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required
