About The Position

Reporting to the Associate Director, Corporate FP&A, the Senior Financial Analyst will primarily be responsible for month end close activities, forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning and financial planning in support of embecta's corporate functions. The Senior Analyst is expected to partner with and provide accurate and timely support to business leadership and functional team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Finance or Accounting
  • 3-5 years' experience in comparable role or accounting
  • Experience with GAAP/IFRS compliance and SOX requirements.
  • Experience with accounting, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in data analytics and data visualization
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business function leads to gather data, align financial goals, and support projects.
  • Support the month-end closing process including, but not limited to, meeting with functional managers for expectations, corresponding with key vendors for accrual information, preparing journal entries, analyzing variances, providing commentary, preparing reporting packages, flux analysis and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze monthly financial results highlighting drivers of performance, emerging trends, and risks or opportunities.
  • Prepare, consolidate, and present global annual budgets, quarterly projections, and long-range plans for each G&A function.
  • Prepare global reporting packages of results with variance analysis to projection and/or budget and operational metrics for each G&A function.
  • Identify inefficiencies, recommend best practices, and improve reporting tools and processes.
  • Lead ad hoc analyses, projects, and requests as needed.
