About The Position

LMR Technical Group (LMR) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Keyport, WA. This role reports to the Program Manager and is responsible for leading financial analysis and forecasting, mentoring junior analysts, building financial models and cost projections, and developing process documentation and metrics to support decision-making. The analyst will utilize DoD systems and Microsoft Office tools in their daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation).
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of financial analysis, data analytics, or other relevant accounting experience.
  • Basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial and project data gathering and analysis using approved systems and applications (ERP, DTS, EDW, PET, TAAT, NEPS).
  • Use double-entry bookkeeping principles to support financial metrics, account balancing, and transaction accuracy reviews.
  • Review transaction lists for content accuracy, trends, and anomalies.
  • Perform data entry into approved DoD systems such as ERP, PET, TAAT, and online collaboration tools.
  • Research historical financial data and forecast quarterly and annual spending.
  • Compare plan vs. actual expenditures and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Create metrics, flow charts, and reports to support program/project decision-making.
  • Use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, PowerBI) to analyze data and present findings.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to junior analysts.
  • Develop financial models through process analysis and organizational evaluations.
  • Prepare cost projections using input from multiple stakeholders and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct modeling and simulation to support data analysis and efficiency recommendations.
  • Create and maintain process flowcharts using Visio.
  • Ensure desk guides and standard procedures are current and accurate for financial and management analyst roles.
  • Provide bid and proposal support if requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
