About The Position

Tennant is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst at our global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of the Financial Planning & Analysis organization and will serve as a finance business partner to key stakeholders across the enterprise. This role will engage directly with senior leaders to provide financial insights, direction, and decision support, with a focus on operating expense management, forecasting, reporting, and financial modeling. The position offers the opportunity to support a variety of functional or business areas, contributing to both enterprise-wide and business-specific financial initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (4-year degree)
  • 5 years of experience in financial analysis or related finance roles
  • Strong understanding of financial and business performance metrics
  • Experience with financial planning processes including forecasting and budgeting
  • Experience in business analytics, financial modeling, and management reporting
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, OneStream, Power BI) preferred
  • Global company experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong intellectual curiosity and analytical mindset
  • Proven problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual operating plan processes for assigned areas
  • Provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis to key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Analyze operating expenses and key business drivers to identify risks and opportunities
  • Develop and deliver financial reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand performance trends and provide data-driven recommendations
  • Contribute to the development, governance, and continuous improvement of financial reporting and planning processes
  • Collaborate across teams to drive consistency in forecasting, reporting, and analytics
  • Support broader FP&A initiatives such as long-range planning, enterprise reporting, or strategic analysis
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and insight generation
  • Manage and contribute to ad-hoc financial analyses and projects as needed
