Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will be an instrumental partner to the Director of Finance and CFO, and executive team in driving financial strategy and analysis across the organization. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission by providing insights that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency through sophisticated data modeling and specialized government contracting financial management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, specifically within a Government Contracting (GovCon) environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to build, maintain, and consolidate multiple complex data models.
• Direct experience working within a Deltek Costpoint environment for data extraction and financial reporting.
• Strong technical understanding of indirect rates, rate pools, and GovCon-specific financials.
• Experience creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations and board decks.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Flexible, able to multi-task, and work to strict monthly and quarterly deadlines.
• Due to U.S. State Department restrictions on access to technology, candidates must be “U.S. Persons” as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with DCAA compliance and the Incurred Cost Submission process is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Finance and CFO in establishing short- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to ensure a robust FP&A function that serves the organization as a strategic business partner.
• Lead the indirect Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, establishing baselines from historical spend while layering in non-controllable costs, fringe rates, and controllable labor/headcount plans.
• Provide coordination of company financial planning and reporting, including the management of complex indirect rate structures, fringe, overhead, and G&A pools.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Excel-based financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, and monthly forecasting.
• Prepare high-level PowerPoint board decks and detailed financial presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Analyze financial data within the Deltek Costpoint environment to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Support the DCAA Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) process and ensure all financial activities remain compliant with FAR 31.205 and government contracting standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights on project performance and contract profitability.
• Support company-wide annual budgeting processes by providing accurate forecasts and rigorous variance analysis.
