About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst for Chromatography and OPUS plays a critical role in delivering the financial insights that guide operational, strategic, and investment decisions across the Chromatography Business Unit. This role also provides dedicated operations finance support for the OPUS chromatography column product line. You will partner closely with cross functional leaders to analyze performance, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth. This is a hybrid role, onsite in Waltham, MA. We require you to be onsite 3 days a week. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or related field (MBA or CPA/CA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive self‑starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across global teams.
  • Ability to influence indirectly and challenge assumptions constructively — the role requires “the ability to drive change inside the organization and play the devil’s advocate as necessary.”

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reports with actionable insights.
  • Lead monthly close activities, including variance analysis and performance commentary.
  • Report and analyze cost of goods sold, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of all financial data.
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and key metrics.
  • Provide day‑to‑day finance partnership to manufacturing operations, offering insights that support operational decisions and investment prioritization.
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze KPIs, recommending corrective actions where needed.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
  • Use financial insights to drive actions that improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead or contribute to cross‑functional initiatives and special projects.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses to support evolving business needs.
