About The Position

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.

Leadership experience with complex strategic and operational initiatives, across multiple products, functions, and geographies.
Experience in developing strategies in changing engaged environments, impeccable business judgment for resource allocation decisions to achieve the desired business outcome.
Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.
Excellent financial modeling skills and familiarity with SQL.

Responsibilities

Partner with multiple stakeholders across Technical Infrastructure, engineers, negotiators, controllership and Google product/service teams to deliver on efficient scaling of Google’s research and development (R&D) networking, ML, and labs business units.
Develop and analyze end-to-end financial models to support strategic initiatives and improve on forecasting methodologies and frameworks.
Lead monthly finance reviews of financial trends to executive audiences.
Drive projects to help the business with decision making and improving efficiency in networking, ML, and labs spend.
Model lab business cases related to future build outs and capacity.
