About The Position

Solve by Talent is partnering with the University of Sydney to recruit a Senior Technical Analyst within Information and Communications Technology. This role will contribute to the delivery and support of Sydney Student, a critical student management platform that enables student administration across the University. As Senior Technical Analyst, you will define complex application requirements, support advanced testing, manage the deployment of application solutions, and provide expert-level support for Sydney Student. You will work across student administration functions, processes and systems, helping deliver practical improvements in a complex tertiary environment.

Requirements

  • Proven SITS Vision experience, ideally across one or more student lifecycle modules such as application, enrolment or progression.
  • Strong understanding of tertiary student and business administration processes and systems.
  • Extensive experience across business process analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, support and documentation.
  • Strong SDLC knowledge, with experience working in structured delivery environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse, configure, test and support Sydney Student application solutions in line with agreed quality standards.
  • Work with University stakeholders to design and implement improvements to student administration processes and activities.
  • Support scope definition, work planning, task tracking, milestone delivery and risk and issue management.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to support informed business decisions.
  • Contribute to team standards, documentation, knowledge sharing, coaching and continuous improvement.
