About The Position

This role provides analytical support and review to management, including P&L projections/forecasts, budgeting, and account analysis for specific business areas. The Senior Financial Analyst will develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and narrative results analysis, as well as develop and distribute standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting. The position also involves assisting with the development, preparation, and presentation of short- and long-range financial plans, and responding to ad-hoc information requests. Monthly accounting activities include month-end close, preparation of month-end deliverables, calculating accruals, posting journal entries, performing account analyses and reconciliations, and researching issues for internal and external audits. Remote work from home is acceptable 3 days a week within a reasonable commuting distance of the Clearwater, FL office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or closely related field of study.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Graduate Assistant, Data Analytics Intern, Finance Analyst Intern or related role where required experience gained.
  • Experience in providing monthly and quarterly reporting on attainment and other performance metrics with business recommendations and clear actions.
  • Experience in aligning best practices on forecasting, review of financial performance, and understanding of P&L impacts.
  • Experience in monthly preparation and distribution of P&L analysis and meetings with leaders to review results.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to written and verbal ad-hoc information requests from internal customers and others as assigned.
  • Perform monthly accounting activities; month-end close and the preparation of month-end deliverables, calculate month-end and quarter-end accruals, post journal entries, perform and conduct various account analyses and reconciliations, research issues and provide ad hoc deliverables for internal and external audit.
