If so, our Business Restructuring & Turnaround Services team in Vancouver wants to meet you. We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Restructuring group. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone who wants to build a meaningful career in financial advisory—where you’ll be on the front lines of helping companies and creditors manage through disruption and change. Our team works with creditors in recovering their debts through receiverships and bankruptcies, acting as court-appointed officers to preserve and maximize value. We also assist distressed businesses to stabilize operations, develop turnaround plans, and lead financial restructurings—both formal and informal. Some days, that might mean building a cash flow model or preparing a strategic recovery plan. Other days, you're managing the sale of a business, preparing Court reports, or even filing a tax return—because in our world, anything can land on your desk, and it probably will. This is a hands-on, dynamic role suited for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates clearly, and genuinely enjoys problem solving. It’s challenging—but also incredibly rewarding. Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in a professional accounting services firm (Audit experience is an asset)
  • CPA designation obtained or in progress
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to tackling complex issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours and travel to client locations as needed
  • Access to reliable transportation for occasional travel throughout BC

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency, or turnaround is a strong asset—but not required. We’ll train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing financial data, accounting records, and financial models
  • Assessing business plans, forecasts, and financial positions of distressed companies
  • Preparing integrated cash flow models and scenario analyses
  • Supporting the execution of formal restructuring mandates including Receiverships, Proposals, and Bankruptcies
  • Preparing formal reports to stakeholders, creditors, and the Courts
  • Assisting in advising companies, lenders, creditors, shareholders, and regulators
  • Managing multiple engagements and timelines concurrently
  • Managing sales processes for the disposition of distressed assets and businesses
  • Participating in practice development and business networking initiatives
