About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A plays a key role in supporting the financial activities of Van Houtte Coffee Services. This position is responsible for managing the operation and administrative finance, including month-end results, differences analysis, budgeting and forecasting, while partnering with all departments to ensure budget alignment and effective cost management. The role reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in finance or accounting, CPA designation is an asset
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in finance, budgeting and forecast
  • General knowledge of accounting and cost control principles
  • Bilingualism (French and English required)
  • Highly analytical approach, constantly seeking to understand the driver for results.
  • Self-managed, motivated, entrepreneurial style; brings matter to resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; comfortable communicating with executive management.
  • Strong drive for results and complex problems solving skills coupled with the ability to build solid strategic working relationships.

  • Familiarity with process improvement techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted business partner to the company’s operations teams.
  • Support the development of long-term financial plans and investment strategies for the company.
  • Modernize, automate, and improve reporting and analysis tools.
  • Conduct benchmarking analyses of costs and business processes, identify variances, and participate in the development of action plans to adopt best practices and support financial forecasting.
  • Support the management team with various special projects.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all regulatory requirements, as well as the policies, procedures, and ethical standards established by Keurig.
  • Lead the current month-end reporting process, as well as the annual and quarterly budget forecasting processes, with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Responsible for preparing actual financial statements by providing detailed variance explanations between actual results, forecasts, and the prior year for all operational cost categories, including headcount, parts, vehicle fleet, depreciation, and administrative costs.
  • Responsible for preparing presentation materials for actual and forecasted results.
  • Support productivity initiatives and processes.
  • Responsible for calculating periodic commissions and annual bonuses for the sales team.
  • Participate, in collaboration with the accounting team, in the inventory count process.
  • Work closely with the operations team to drive strong operational performance and develop tools to help monitor it.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, demonstrating financial leadership and credibility.
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial and HR data.
  • Responsible for completing yearly objectives and quarterly assessment.
  • Coordinate efforts for keeping position description up to date.
  • Responsible for completing yearly performance assessment.
