About The Position

Amplitude is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role will be instrumental in business partnering and transforming Finance operations within the AI era. The position reports directly to the VP of Finance and will focus on supporting financial planning, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across Sales, Go-To-Market (GTM), and corporate functions. The analyst will collaborate closely with business leaders to manage headcount planning, operating expense control, financial analysis, and reporting, enabling informed investment decisions. This is a high-visibility position offering broad organizational exposure, opportunities to influence key business decisions, build relationships with senior stakeholders, and gain a deep understanding of a high-growth SaaS company. A key aspect of the role involves contributing to Amplitude's AI Transformation by identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies, automate processes, and enhance Finance's insights delivery and scalability.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of finance or related experience
  • 2+ years in corporate FP&A preferred
  • Experience using AI tools to automate processes, reporting, or analysis
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a high degree of rigor and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships and partner effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales, GTM, and Corporate Function (Finance/HR/Legal) leaders to provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations supporting strategic decision-making and business performance.
  • Support GTM financial analysis, including operating expense management, headcount planning, resource allocation, and performance reporting to help leaders optimize investments.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and analytics to provide visibility into key business drivers, trends, and opportunities across Sales, GTM, and G&A functions.
  • Lead annual planning, monthly and quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis, communicating insights and recommendations to Finance and business leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and analysis by leveraging automation, AI tools, and new technologies.
  • Improve visibility into business performance through enhanced data models, dashboards, and tooling.
  • Design and build advanced dashboards to deliver actionable insights to executives.
  • Automate recurring reporting, including AI-assisted presentation development.
  • Support high-priority analytical projects and strategic decision-making across Finance.
