About The Position

As a Senior Financial Management Analyst, you need to be well-organized and capable of quickly learning the current environment to best position and drive the client and team through all aspects of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE). As a key member of the BFM team, you will need to be proactive in anticipating funding challenges and associated data calls during the FY. The candidate plays a critical role to program leadership by ensuring that the appropriated funds are managed in alignment with DoD financial policies and program objectives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization within the defense industry. This is a hybrid role.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant experience providing Navy or DoD financial management support
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems) is required.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Department of Navy (DoN) acquisition processes, regulations, and systems is highly desirable.
  • A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Defense Financial Management (CDFM) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track program funding (RDT&E, Procurement, O&M, etc.) across the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) lifecycle
  • Develop and submit financial exhibits, budget justification materials, and annual spend plans
  • Coordinate with resource sponsors to validate requirements and justify funding requests.
  • Coordinate with Program Management, Contracting, and Logistics teams on funding requirements
  • Monitor and analyze execution of funds to ensure obligations and expenditures are in line with spend plans and appropriation law
  • Prepare financial briefings and reports for leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., ASN(RDA), OSD, Congress)
  • Develop dashboards and metrics to track financial health of the program.
  • Conduct financial reconciliations, validate commitments and obligations, and assist with year-end closeout activities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD financial management regulations
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and acquisition strategy development to ensure alignment between financial resources and program milestones.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and increased productivity.
  • Capture lessons learned from project activities and incorporate them into future initiatives.
