Senior Financial Analyst, Strategic Finance

NinjaOne
$110,000 - $140,000Remote

About The Position

We are looking for a senior analyst to own a functional area end to end as an embedded finance partner. You will be the finance person a business leader calls first: you will know their operating model as well as they do, build and own the models that drive their headcount and spend decisions, and run a real monthly rhythm with them. You will be assigned to one of our areas based on your strengths and where the business needs the most support. That could be support, G&A, or go-to-market. We do not require prior experience in any specific function. What we care about is whether you can learn how a business works and turn that into analysis a leader will act on. Strategic Finance is the finance business partnering team at NinjaOne. We are a small, high-leverage group that works directly with the leaders of our largest functions on the decisions that matter: how fast to grow, where to invest, what a plan should look like, and whether it is working. We are organized around three areas: go-to-market finance, corporate finance, and functional business partnering across the business. As the company continues to scale, we are adding two people to the team. This is a small team, so you will own real scope early and your work will be seen by the executive team. Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states - CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MA, MD, NJ, NC, NY, OH, OR, TN, TX, VA, & WA.

Requirements

  • Roughly 2 to 5 years in FP&A, business finance, consulting, banking, or a comparable analytical role. We are open on years if the substance is there.
  • Strong financial modeling and the analytical judgment to know when an answer is wrong.
  • The communication skills and presence to work directly with a functional leader and hold your own in that conversation.
  • Evidence that you can take something ambiguous and own it without being managed closely.
  • A working style built around automating the repeatable parts of the job.
  • Our team sits on the West Coast, so we ask for meaningful overlap with Pacific time.
  • Open to occasional travel for team and company onsites.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI tools, BI tools, SQL, or planning systems is a plus, and we will help you build it if you have the instinct but have not had the tools.

Responsibilities

  • Owning the operating and capacity model for your area, including how headcount and spend scale with the drivers of the business.
  • Managing the forecast, budget, and long-range plan for your functions, and the narrative that explains the variances.
  • Conducting a monthly business review with your functional leaders: what happened, why, and what it means for the rest of the year.
  • Vendor and operating expense review, including where we are getting leverage and where we are not.
  • Decision support on the questions that come up in between, from business cases to scenario work to whatever the leader is wrestling with that quarter.
  • Other duties as needed

Benefits

  • medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • unlimited PTO
  • equity grant
  • life insurance coverage
