About The Position

The EBS Finance team is a dynamic team responsible for providing operational and strategic support to our Associate-Owners and store staff. This position focuses on ensuring financial data integrity, enhancing process efficiency and resolving accounting related issues, annual inventory results et periodic bank reconciliations for the Pharmarpix banner. This role will significantly impact organizational knowledge, influence strategic decisions, and ensure data integrity. You will provide financial insights to stores, collaborate closely with management to optimize operational efficiency, and meticulously safeguard transaction accuracy, promptly escalating any issues to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in both French and English. Fluent written and verbal communication skills in French is mandatory; effective written and verbal communication in English is essential.
  • Degree in accounting, minimum university certificate or college diploma in accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.
  • Strong business acumen, with an ability to focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build excellent interpersonal relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Quality driven and detail oriented.
  • Capacity to work well in a fast-paced team environment with attention to detail.
  • Ability to self-organize multiple tasks well and to complete them on time with a clear focus on quantitative results.
  • Proficient with Excel and Power Point.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SAP and MicroStrategy will be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic follow-ups with stores that are not meeting company objectives to implement the right operational processes.
  • Report and analyze anomalies with the EBS team manager.
  • Support the investigation of annual preliminary inventory results: Compile and analyze preliminary inventory results. Investigate and communicate with stores as needed. Distribute the results to the various resources within the organization.
  • Work in collaboration with store management teams to correct and implement standard processes.
  • Support and promote continuous process improvement, with the ability to adapt and evolve according to the needs of the business.
  • Provide expert guidance and training on accounting and payroll matters to Associate-Owners, administrators, and store managers.
  • Analyze and resolve complex financial queries, identify root causes of issues (systems, process, training), and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor requests to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct analyses to assess the impact of issues and support the manager in strategic initiatives.
  • Draft and update training documentation and procedures.
  • Participate in any other ad hoc projects and analyses.
