About The Position

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, Early Intervention Commercial with preferred location in West Chester, PA and Raynham, MA; New Jersey will be considered. The Early Intervention (EI) Senior Financial Analyst will provide leadership and support to the EI business which represents over $200M in US revenue. This role is for a highly motivated individual who will provide financial insights to achieve business objectives. This individual will report to the Sports Senior Finance Manager.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Finance or Accounting.
  • A minimum of three years of finance and accounting experience is required.
  • Candidate must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative skills to work effectively in a matrix organization across functional groups is required.
  • The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
  • Must work well in a dynamic environment, work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence others at all levels within a matrixed organization is required.

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or other financial certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, Tableau and TM1 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and engage with the EI leadership and cross-functional teams to build financial models and forecasts for Revenue, Standard COGS, and Operating Expenses
  • Own the EI P&L by performing month-end close responsibilities including preparation of journal entries and accruals, providing commentary on actual versus forecasted results, reporting headcount, and presenting results to financial leadership
  • Complete EI P&L Latest Thinking analysis on a monthly basis
  • Influence business pricing performance through advanced analytics in addition to supporting new MCO (Managed Care Organization) access bids
  • Work closely with J&J Innovative Medicine Government Pricing team to ensure quarterly pricing calculations are accurate and reported correctly
  • Complete adhoc analysis for business and finance partners (price, Gross to Net, Gross Profit, Sales & Marketing Opex)
  • An active member at the EI Quarterly Business Reviews and present financial results to the cross functional leadership team
  • Support the Strategic Deal Desk by modeling opportunities to ensure proposed deals and offerings are financially beneficial to both DePuy Synthes and the customer
