About The Position

The Senior Financial Aid Student Advisor is responsible for counseling undergraduate and graduate students as well as their families regarding various financing options. The senior advisor also provides the initial training to new Financial Aid Student Advisors.

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in a customer service position, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Must be in good standing in all Federal Title IV programs and remain current with federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations
  • Proficiency using software programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Train new members of the Financial Aid Student Advisor team
  • Educate and assist students and parents in the process of securing federal and alternative funding for tuition, while ensuring a positive service experience
  • Communicate with students and families to assess needs relating to financial aid
  • Assist students and parents in completion of financial aid forms to include FAFSA and verification requirements
  • Assist students and parents in the process of federal and educational loan applications
  • Maintain current knowledge of all Title IV regulations and institutional policies, as well as enforcing college, state, and federal policies
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures of Full Sail University
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company and personnel information
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization
  • Adhere to the company attendance standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
