The Commercial Product and Infrastructure (CPI) Finance organization is responsible for managing Microsoft's cloud and AI capacity, optimizing margins, and ensuring rigorous resource allocation across the company's portfolio. Within CPI, the Resource Investment Strategy finance team is a dynamic and rapidly evolving group that collaborates closely with engineering leadership. This team ensures that over $20 billion in resources, supporting approximately 100,000 engineering full-time employees (FTEs), are consistently aligned with strategic engineering priorities. We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to partner with the Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) organization, specifically supporting Capacity and Datacenter engineering leaders. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, global talent acquisition, and finance departments to plan full-time employee (FTE) headcount and vendor resources, and to implement a strategic workforce talent roadmap that supports long-term capacity growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills applicable at various levels, from high-level strategy to tactical execution, and will be adept at navigating complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Key aspects of the role include providing leadership in financial management, resource prioritization, and allocation to business and finance teams, ensuring investments align with key priorities, driving analytical and conceptual thinking with stakeholders that extends beyond financial data into strategic considerations, and fostering a culture of compliance through actions and education.
