About The Position

McCormick Canada is seeking a Senior Finance Manager - Supply Chain Finance to support the Canadian Supply Chain organization. This role provides financial leadership, analysis, and decision support across Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, Inventory, Planning, and Logistics. The position involves partnering closely with Supply Chain leadership to drive financial performance, support productivity initiatives, optimize costs, and provide insights for effective business decisions. The Senior Finance Manager will lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for the Supply Chain function, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with corporate policies. Collaboration with Commercial Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Corporate Finance teams is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably within Supply Chain, Operations, or Manufacturing Finance
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and cost accounting principles
  • Experience supporting budgeting and month-end close processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a cross-functional business environment
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP, TM1, Power BI, or similar financial systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Supply Chain leadership to support operational and financial objectives
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support cost optimization and productivity initiatives
  • Support business cases and financial evaluations for capital projects and strategic investments
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies
  • Collaborate with the site controller in Canada and in other locations
  • Support inventory management and working capital initiatives
  • Lead Supply Chain budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities
  • Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances versus budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Support monthly close activities and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Prepare and present financial results and insights to Supply Chain and Finance leadership teams
  • Monitor manufacturing and logistics cost performance
  • Perform detailed cost and variance analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support cost accounting processes and inventory controls
  • Assist with financial modeling and analysis to support operational decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, and financial processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to simplify and standardize processes where appropriate
  • Provide guidance and support to analysts and finance team members
  • Foster strong collaboration across Finance and Supply Chain teams
  • Contribute to team development and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Support ERP, reporting, and system enhancement initiatives as required
