About The Position

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Finance Manager to lead Supply Chain Finance. The role leads finance support for the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and owns raw material input standard costs, connecting demand plans, supply plans, and material costs to financial outcomes. The Finance Manager partners directly with senior leaders in Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Operations. This is a player-coach role: the Finance Manager will initially lead the work hands-on and grow into managing a team of two to four finance professionals. The role focuses on setting quality standards, developing the team, and building scalable planning and costing processes in a fast-moving, high-growth manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 7–9 years of experience in supply chain finance, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, FP&A, or a related analytical role, including experience leading or mentoring others.
  • Experience supporting or leading an S&OP or integrated business planning process, including translating demand and supply plans into financial results.
  • Hands-on experience with standard costing, including raw material standards, cost roll-ups, and purchase price variance analysis.
  • Experience in product manufacturing environments and a working understanding of bills of materials, material flows, and factory cost drivers.
  • Experience working with Supply Chain and Procurement, including supplier cost analysis, material planning, and inventory management.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including experience building integrated forecasts and decision-support models.
  • Ability to lead through others, set priorities, and hold a team accountable for high-quality results.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial insights clearly to operations and executive stakeholders.
  • Sound judgment in day-to-day team resourcing and priority decisions, with the ability to escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving priorities and multiple work streams.
  • Experience improving financial reporting, systems, or tools, such as NetSuite, Adaptive, Foundry, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or certification, such as an MBA, CPA, or CMA.
  • Experience in high-growth, defense, aerospace, shipbuilding, robotics, or deep-tech manufacturing environments.
  • Experience building or scaling a finance team, including hiring and developing talent.
  • Experience with commodity exposure, supplier contracts, and long-lead or constrained material categories.
  • Experience with low-volume, high-complexity, or program-based manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with working capital, inventory valuation, excess and obsolete reserves, and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Experience with supply chain planning tools or ERP planning modules.
  • Comfort interpreting accounting data and translating financial results into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance work for the monthly S&OP cycle, translating demand and supply plans into financial views of revenue, cost of goods sold, inventory, and cash, and contribute to each S&OP review.
  • Reconcile the consensus S&OP plan to the budget and latest forecast, quantify gaps and risks, and present scenarios and trade-offs to leadership.
  • Set, maintain, and update standard costs for raw materials and purchased components, including cost roll-ups, supplier pricing, freight, duty, and other landed-cost elements.
  • Analyze purchase price and material usage variances, lead root-cause discussions with Procurement and Supply Chain, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Forecast material costs, including the effects of supplier price changes, commodity and market trends, lead times, and shortages on margin.
  • Provide financial analysis for make-versus-buy decisions, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and inventory purchases.
  • Monitor inventory levels, excess and obsolete exposure, and open purchase commitments, and partner with Supply Chain on working-capital improvements.
  • Build and develop a team of two to four analysts and senior analysts through hiring, coaching, prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Partner with director-level and executive stakeholders in Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to turn operational drivers into financial insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee material, demand, and supply models supporting S&OP, operating forecasts, and cash and working-capital planning.
  • Prepare and review monthly S&OP financial summaries, budget-versus-actuals, forecast updates, and executive presentation materials with clear commentary on key drivers.
  • Work with Accounting through month-end close on inventory and cost entries, and coordinate with Manufacturing Finance to ensure material standards flow into product standard costs.
  • Define and monitor quality metrics for team output and promote continuous improvement aligned with Saronic standards.
  • Anticipate challenges, resolve conflicting priorities, and adjust team focus as supply and business needs change.
  • Improve S&OP, costing, reporting, and planning processes and tools, including ERP and planning systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive, Foundry, or similar.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensure team contributions support business objectives, and communicate trade-offs clearly.
