About The Position

The Senior Finance Manager provides a range of strategic Finance advice, analysis and support for key business areas/portfolios as assigned. Proactively manages senior relationships in order to provide seasoned and deep business insights, decision support and guidance and works closely with various stakeholders and team members as required. This role serves as a bank expert for a Finance function or discipline and/or portfolio or journey, accountable for leading or conducting expert financial analysis/research, reviews and/or audits to support functional goals/objectives. The scope may involve the integration of several key functional areas and/or business lines and requires a focus on longer-range issues, dealing with highly complex financial management, specialized accounting, taxation, audit, regulatory reporting, and operational issues. The Senior Finance Manager is a primary interface with Finance partners/leaders and external parties, serving as a source of expert advice to senior management in their field of specialty, and may lead teams of related specialists/experts. They advise on execution strategy and lead the development and deployment of functional programs or initiatives. This role requires innovative thinking to develop new solutions for unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact, typically overseeing standards, risk-based controls, and operating methods that have significant financial and operational impact. The position works within general policies and industry guidelines, engaging stakeholders to take action, influencing change, and framing information in a broader organizational context.

  • Manages relationships within and across business lines, corporate and control functions, ensuring alignment.
