About The Position

JLL is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial excellence across its global commercial real estate platform. The role combines financial modeling, strategic analysis, reporting, forecasting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The analyst will work with senior leadership to provide insights supporting investment strategies, operational efficiency, and client solutions. This position is remote, with the listed locations of Chicago, Illinois, and Cincinnati, Ohio.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Six years of progressive financial analysis experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
• Experience with financial software systems such as E-1, Bottomline, or Peoplesoft.
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within finance or real estate environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting financial information to senior executives.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• MBA, CPA, CFA, or another relevant professional certification.
• Experience in commercial real estate or real estate investment management.
• Proficiency in advanced analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards, particularly those related to real estate.
• Experience with debt and equity financing structures, including construction loans, permanent financing, and joint venture arrangements.
• Familiarity with property management systems and lease administration processes.
• Project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for real estate investments, acquisitions, and portfolio analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with JLL standards.
• Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and executive dashboards to inform strategic decisions across business lines.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sourcing, and other cross-functional teams to analyze performance metrics and identify optimization opportunities.
• Lead monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including budget-versus-actual analysis and forecasting updates for assigned portfolios.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis for client presentations and internal strategic initiatives.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives that improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
• Promote the use of AI and automation to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and create scalable solutions.
• Lead the development and optimization of processes, including documentation, governance, and continuous improvement.
• Drive accountability for deliverables across onshore and offshore teams through delegation, training, performance management, and communication.
• Partner with leadership by providing timely updates, operational insights, and recommendations for process enhancements.
• Apply critical thinking, strategic problem-solving, and decision-making to complex operational and reporting requirements.
