The Opportunity This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) Division in Alameda, CA. We are helping people with diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we are committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will support Abbott Diabetes Care Global Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM) operations. This person will be reporting to the Finance Manager, Global TPM Operations, you will assist with financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities while developing a strong understanding of TPM financial processes. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years financial analysis experience.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.
  • Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • BS or BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting knowledge especially regarding accruals accounting
  • Highly proficient in Excel.
  • Experience with EssBase and SAP a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support ADC’s annual standard cost-setting activities, including data collection, cost variance analysis, and preparation of supporting materials for submission.
  • Support the consolidation and preparation of Global TPM financial results—including P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital, and Gross Margin Improvements (GMI)—for month‑end close, quarterly business/finance reviews, and long‑range planning.
  • Prepare prepaid inventory forecasts by gathering operational data, validating assumptions, and developing updated forecast models tied to production volumes and supplier commitments.
  • Partner with TPM Operations and Engineering teams to prepare capital and project expense forecasts, perform variance analysis, and support forecast submissions.
  • Lead monthly reviews of capital and project expenses with key business partners by preparing insights on performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with TPM Operations and Center of Excellence teams on key steps of the Fixed Asset end‑to‑end process and ensure data accuracy.
  • Develop and deliver ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for TPM and cross‑functional partners
