About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial leadership, support and analysis to several key early and late-stage development compounds within the Oncology Therapeutic Area. The position is responsible for all financial aspects related to the projects and functional budgets for their assigned compounds.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of three (3) years finance or related business experience is required.
  • Must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required.
  • The ability to effectively take on leadership roles in various functions is required.
  • The ability to navigate through ambiguity is required.
  • Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle several tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications is preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device industries as well as public accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively partner with Compound Development Teams (CDT) and Project Management Teams (PMT) to align financial targets, analyze the value of project investments, and address business issues
  • Manage all aspects of financial updates including Business Plan and Long Range Financial Plan and ensure the accuracy and compliance of monthly forecasting and closing cycles
  • Pipeline valuation models for their compounds, which includes partnering with CDT/PMT, Commercial, Global Strategic Marketing, Operations and Tax
  • Support of Portfolio Reviews and ad-hoc valuation support to key stakeholders across the Pharmaceutical R&D, Operations and Strategic Marketing organization
  • Partner with Business Development in support of External Innovation and L&A/M&A projects
