About The Position

Iru is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Senior Finance & Accounting Manager, Revenue to join their Finance team. This role bridges technical accounting compliance and strategic finance. The position involves owning the core revenue accounting lifecycle under ASC 606, managing ARR waterfall reporting, financial analytics, and revenue forecast models. The ideal candidate enjoys complex data reconciliations and building sophisticated forecasting models to drive business decisions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of revenue accounting experience, ideally within a SaaS or subscription-based B2B technology environment.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, specifically deep familiarity with ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers).
Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is a must.
Proven experience building or maintaining financial forecast models, ARR waterfalls, and interpreting complex data sets.
An exceptional eye for detail combined with the ability to step back and understand the "big picture" strategic implications of financial numbers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently translate complex accounting and financial metrics to non-finance stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

CPA or progress toward CPA is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems and subscription billing platforms (e.g. Stripe) is highly desired.
Hubspot experience is a major plus.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end preparation, maintenance, and analysis of the ARR waterfall model (New Business, Upsells, Churn, Contractions, and Net Retention).
Maintain and continuously improve the revenue and ARR forecast models, collaborating with GTM leadership to align operational metrics with financial outcomes.
Deliver monthly and quarterly analytics packages detailing key SaaS metrics (LTV, CAC, GRR, NRR) and cohort analyses for leadership and board presentations.
Conduct deep-dive variance analyses comparing actual ARR and revenue metrics against forecast and budget targets, identifying underlying operational drivers.
Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue close processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, analyzing variances, and creating financial disclosures.
Review revenue contracts to identify complex terms and conditions that could influence revenue recognition under ASC 606.
Prepare and update detailed schedules and workpapers related to revenue accounts, ensuring absolute accuracy and completeness.
Carry out billing, revenue accruals, and other critical revenue operations tasks within the broader order-to-cash process.
Reconcile complex data between billing systems and the ERP, highlight inconsistencies, support investigations, and actively assist with future ERP implementation plans.
Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Product teams to provide operational support for new, bespoke deals and ensure all revenue impacts are well-documented.
Work closely with team leads to introduce and implement new accounting procedures for upcoming product launches, pricing updates, or sales incentive programs.
Engage in ongoing system and process enhancements, including system testing, building automation workflows, and providing feedback on scalability efforts.
Support internal controls ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and audit-ready.
Prepare documentation and schedules required to respond directly to external audit requests related to revenue accounting.
