About The Position

Pennoni is hiring a Senior Field Survey Technician to contribute to our projects on a full-time, direct basis in the Winchester, VA area. This role involves collecting field data, recording survey measurements, completing land surveying computations, being responsible for a field crew, preparing construction cutsheets, reading construction plans, and possessing a technical understanding of current survey field software. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a team player, a problem solver, and works with a high level of accuracy.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of field experience
• Excel
• Math skills commensurate with field surveying
• Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in field-based roles with physically-demanding tasks.
• Proficiency with relevant technologies / tools (e.g.: Total Stations, HDLS, GIS, etc.); experience with Leica Geosystems HW & SW, RTS (Robotic Total Stations), GPS, and/or Faro High-Definition Laser Scanning equipment is a plus!
• Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
