As a Senior Field Specialist, you will be responsible for all project management processes on medium complexity projects or on a portion of high complex projects under guidance from a qualified project manager. You will support technical inputs and lead medium complexity proposal projects as assigned. You will manage medium team sizes in field operations and may take on project manager responsibilities in a deputy capacity with the direct guidance of a project manager.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline: Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical degree. Alternatively, equivalent non-degreed technical experience in an industrial environment is also acceptable.
  • 5 years of project manager experience or 2 years project management/supervisory experience and 3+ years' experience in technical role.
  • Familiarity with the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.
  • Westinghouse Project Manager qualification in progress or willingness to complete in designated time period.
  • Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

  • Author project plans, develop scope, schedule, and establish cost baselines under guidance from a qualified project manager.
  • Support all aspects of project through use of delegates as applicable.
  • Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements and changes, to teams following an integrated change management process.
  • Oversee project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Earned Value Management) to support project performance and financial reporting requirements under guidance from a qualified project manager.
  • Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope.
  • Issue and maintain project process metrics and process maps.
  • Oversee project databases and systems to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
  • Archive work in financial, scheduling, document, and resource management systems.
  • Perform final project quality assessment and report out.
  • Implement continuous improvements.
