About The Position

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is seeking a Senior Field Process Engineer to provide process engineering and technical support for the operation of its plants and pipelines in the Houston region. This role involves ensuring facility upgrades and changes comply with company guidelines, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, while also meeting performance needs. The engineer will also develop process designs for capital projects driven by operational, commercial, and optimization requirements. The Senior Field Process Engineer will be assigned to specific production units and pipelines to support Operations, Maintenance, Commercial, and Distribution, providing technical expertise and scope development for projects at Mont Belvieu.

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a refinery/chemical plant environment or related industry engineering within a continuous production facility is required.
  • Familiarity with API Standards and OSHA 1910.119 (PSM).
  • Proficiency in basic PC skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to either work alone or as part of a team are essential.
  • Must be proficient in balancing multi priorities and activities and meet deliverable.
  • Ability to handle multiple fast-paced projects with constantly changing priorities and scope.
  • Ability to quickly absorb the key deliverables and not get mired in details.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with distillation, light hydrocarbons, petrochemical, Pipelines. Underground Storage is a plus.
  • Process modeling software such as Unisim or equivalent. Experience with Unisim is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the Company's Operations, Maintenance, and Commercial departments.
  • Troubleshoot plant issues and develop recommended remediation plans and designs.
  • Perform plant simulations to establish baselines, simulate modifications and estimate performance enhancements to existing plant facilities.
  • Perform and check design calculations for sizing of equipment, control valves, lines and PSVs.
  • Prepare project design scopes in support of capital projects, commercial development, and plant optimization.
  • Participate in reviews of designs prepared by outside engineering contractors, vendors, fabricators, and manufacturers.
  • Participate in PHA/HAZOP review meetings.
  • Monitor field construction activities to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
  • Perform Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and progress Project Management of Change.
  • Support Field Environmental and Safety with development of emissions/release calculations.
